Culture Corner: The Man of Steel - NOW & THEN

Цель: способствовать развитию лексических навыков, навыков чтения и монологической речи.

Оборудование: иллюстрации по теме урока; карточки с описанием супергероя для проведения викторины; наклейки с изображением супергероя.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

II. Актуализация знаний

Проверка домашнего задания

(Учащиеся сдают письменные работы на проверку. Учитель организует взаимопроверку выполнения заданий в рабочей тетради. Ответы записаны на доске. )

III. Работа по теме урока

1. Работа по учебнику

Упр. 1 (с. 71).

(На доске плакаты с изображением супергероев из фильмов и комиксов; Spider-Man, Zorro, Superman, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow and Batman.

Учитель задает вопросы, данные в упражнении.)

Упр. 2 (с. 71).

(Ученики самостоятельно выполняют задание, затем проверяют все вместе.

Keys: 1е, 2b, 3а, 4f, 5с, 6d.

Ученики читают образец и строят свои предложения о героях, например:

— Batman and Superman can fly in the sky and do wonders.

— Superman can see through walls and lift buildings.

— All the superheroes can move fast.)

(Ученики отвечают на вопрос задания, затем читают текст в сопровождении аудиозаписи и проверяют свой ответ.

(Учащиеся читают текст еще раз, самостоятельно выполняют задание, а затем все вместе проверяют.

Учащиеся объясняют значение выделенных слов, используя языковую догадку, контекст или монолингвальные словари.)

Упр. 4 (с. 71).

(Учащиеся с помощью учителя находят в тексте и выделяют наиболее важную информацию. Учитель объясняет значение выражения give a summary (передать основное содержание текста). Учащиеся выполняют задание в парах, затем несколько учеников выступают перед классом.

Предполагаемый ответ:

In 1933, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster created Superman, a superhero in a blue uniform and red cape. Superman came from planet Krypton. A couple of farmers found him and named him Clark. He gains power from the Sun, he can fly, see through walls and fire heat vision from his eyes. Superman fights criminals and rescues the helpless. He’s a symbol of the American dream.)

2. Проведение викторины

(Ученики получают карточки с описанием супергероя, имя которого они должны угадать. Учащиеся по очереди читают описание вслух. Если ученик не может угадать имя, то его называют другие учащиеся. За каждый правильный ответ ученики получают наклейку с изображением супергероя.)

6. His real name is Steve Rogers. He had mastered the martial arts of American-style boxing and judo and had combined these disciplines with his own unique hand-to-hand style of combat. He had also shown skill and knowledge of a number of other martial arts.

7. His real name is James Howlett. Born with superhuman senses and the power to heal from almost any wound, he was captured by a secret Canadian organization and given an unbreakable skeleton and claws.

IV. Инструктаж по выполнению домашнего задания

— For your homework write a short article about your favourite superhero. Use the plan in Exercise 5, page 71.

(Учитель читает и комментирует задание, чтобы все ученики поняли, что им нужно делать дома. Можно предложить учащимся оформить работу в виде плаката.)

— If there is anything you don’t understand, ask now.
