Учимся составлять диалоги - LOOK AT TEENAGE PROBLEMS: SCHOOL EDUCATION

Цели урока:

1. Активизация навыков чтения по теме «Школа».

2. Развитие грамматических навыков по теме «Модальные глаголы».

3. Совершенствование навыков диалогической речи.

Оборудование: транскрипционные значки, карточки с грамматическим заданием по теме «Модальные глаголы» по количеству учащихся.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент

— Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning, Maria Petrovna!)

— I am glad to see you. (We are glad to see you too.)

— How are you? (We are fine, thanks. And how are you?)

— I’m fine, thank you. Vova, how is your mother? (She is fine, thanks).

— Masha, is your father OK? (Yes, he is. He is OK).

— Who is absent today? (All pupils are present).

— And who is on duty today? (Vova and Masha are on duty today).

— OK. Let’s start our work.

II. Фонетическая разминка

— But at first let’s practise the English sounds. I shall show you the symbols of the English sounds and the task for you is to pronounce this sound and name three words with it on the topic “School”. Remember the English words and get ready to start.

[i:] — teacher, teach, read;

[ı] — strict, uniform, think;

[p] — pupil, problem, copybook;

[e] — pen, pencil, ready;

[w] — workbook, week, well;

[æ] — have, has, exam;

[s] — subject, test, school. Etc.

III. Речевая разминка

— Now we shall play. I want one pupil to go to the blackboard. He will tell us about his school and his school life but the telephone doesn’t work well.

Игра «Испорченный телефон»

Один ребенок рассказывает о своей школе, а остальные дети переспрашивают его. Учитель объясняет детям, что телефон плохо работает, поэтому некоторые предложения могут быть расслышаны учениками не так, как их произносит ведущий.

— My school is big.

— Is your school small?

— No, it is not. My school is not small. My favourite subject is Literature.

— Is your favourite subject Russian?

— No, it is not. Russian is not my favourite subject. We have six lessons every day.

— Do you have five lessons every day?

— No, we don’t. We don’t have five lessons every day. My school is new.

— Is your school old?

— No, it is not. Etc.

IV. Развитие грамматических навыков по теме «Модальные глаголы»

— Now it’s time to ask and answer the questions. Do you remember tag-questions? Read the sentences on the cards, make up tag-questions and let your classmates answer them.

Для выполнения следующего задания учащиеся получают карточки с предложениями. Задание для учеников: прочитать предложение и составить разделительный вопрос, на который будут отвечать одноклассники.

Примерное задание на карточке:

1. Pupils must be at school at half past eight,...?

2. Children mustn’t smoke and take drugs,...?

3. You should help your classmates,...?

4. Pupils should not think that Russian is more important than Maths, ...?

5. You must do your homework every day,...?

6. Pupils should be polite,...?

7. English words can not be easily learnt,...?

8. Teachers should be strict, ...?

Keys:

1. Pupils must be at school at half past eight, mustn’t they? (Yes, they must. They must be at school at half past eight.)

2. Children mustn’t smoke and take drugs, must they? (Yes, they must. Children mustn’t smoke and take drugs.)

3. You should help your classmates, should not you? (Yes, I should. I should help my classmates.)

4. Pupils should not think that Russian is more important than Maths, should they? (Yes, they should. Pupils should not think that Russian is more important than Maths.)

5. You must do your homework every day, mustn’t you? (Yes, I must. I must do my homework every day.)

6. Pupils should be polite, shouldn’t they? (Yes, they should. Pupils should be polite.)

8. Teachers should be strict, shouldn’t they? (Yes, they should. They should be strict but not overstrict.)

— Let’s have a rest and do some exercises. Will you stand up, please?

VI. Тренировка навыков чтения на материале диалогов

— We have learnt some modal verbs and now we can give advice to our relatives and friends. It’s time to read some dialogues from your textbooks. We shall learn to use the modal verbs in the dialogues. Can you find and read the sentences with the modal verbs from the first (second) dialogue? Read the dialogues in pairs, please. Who can read the dialogue artistically (in a natural manner)?

Учитель привлекает внимание учащихся к диалогам из упр. 41, стр. 70 и предлагает прочитать их про себя, перевести и найти предложения с модальными глаголами.

Затем ученики читают данные диалоги в парах. В конце этого этапа урока учитель предлагает 3—5 ученикам прочитать диалоги выразительно перед классом.

VII. Совершенствование навыков диалогической речи

— Now it’s your turn to make up the dialogues using the questions from exercise 42, page 70. You will have 4 minutes to do this task in pairs and then we shall listen to your dialogues.

Ученики делятся на пары для составления диалога. Учитель обращает внимание учащихся на необходимость использования вопросов из упр. 42, стр. 70 из учебника. Учащиеся составляют диалоги в течение 4—5 минут, а затем пары учеников по очереди выходят к доске и представляют свои диалоги.

VIII. Активизация навыков чтения и вопросно-ответной работы по тексту

— A lot of people are asked about their best and worst teachers. Let’s read the story about Allan’s teacher. You will read it in exercise 3, page 51—52 in your Workbooks and then choose the best continuation for the sentences. Are you ready to start? The next task for you is to answer the questions from exercise 4, page 52 using the information from the text.

Учитель предлагает учащимся прочитать текст из упр. 3, стр. 51—52 из рабочей тетради. Задание для учеников: выполнить тест после прочтения текста. Для проверки данного задания ученики по очереди зачитывают свои варианты предложений. Затем учитель предлагает выполнить упр. 4, 5, стр. 52 из рабочей тетради.

IX. Подведение итогов урока
